Jamie’s Italian Nicosia has officially opened with the renowned celebrity chef opening up his first eatery in Cyprus, located in the heart of Engomi. There are currently more than 40 restaurants worldwide including Sydney, Singapore, Moscow, Sao Paolo and Dubai with Cyprus being one of the three European countries (apart from London) to host a Jamie’s Italian.
The Cyprus move had been confirmed by Oliver himself in December last year. The menu has been created by Jamie and his long time friend and mentor Italian chef Gennaro Contaldo. It offers a range of delicious, rustic Italian dishes with a Jamie twist, all made using the best local and seasonal produce. Pasta dishes include the Pumpkin Ravioli (homemade half moons of pasta filled with roasted pumpkin, ricotta & Parmesan served with chilli, rosemary butter & crushed amaretti) and the Meatball Pappardelle (free-range pork and fennel meatballs in a fiery ‘nduja tomato sauce with herby breadcrumbs and Parmesan).
The mains include the famed Rib-eye steak, the Jamie’s Italian Burger and the Sicilian-spiced aubergine topped with a ragu of lentils, tomatoes and raisins. For dessert, try the Amalfi lemon meringue cheesecake. There’s also a kids menu. Spacious and full of light, the restaurant is the perfect place to enjoy a delicious meal for every occasion, from dinner with family to business lunches or birthday parties. The Nicosia restaurant also features a stunning bar with plenty of cosy booths where you can relax and soak in the vibrant atmosphere.
Jamie’s Italian is inspired by Jamie’s passion for the Italian way of life.
